Yo fam, it’s Kushagra from AtlasMoth.

Been vibin’ with tons of cool designers from different spaces, and ADPlist’s been my go-to plug for chats.

Not gonna lie, ADPlist is killing it. They’ve nailed that Apple vibe, and you know how slick Apple’s stuff is—clean, smart, and just a chef’s kiss.

But here’s the tea: Apple stays winning. Like, no cap—they’ve crushed it in every era. And now, with AI on the rise? They’re already out here switching the game to stay on top.

If you’re tryna boss up in 2025, take notes. Apple’s way of slay is a whole mood. 👊

Apple’s been out here flipping the game, year after year.

First, it was Lisa (PC vibes). Then iPhone (made phones smart). Now Vision Pro (3D feels). And, oh, so much more.

Evolution of the UI

Let’s be real—iOS 7 was the move. It set the vibe for screens for a whole 10 years. But guess what? The time to shake it up is now.👀

UIs aren’t just for looks—they gotta work and work well. But let’s be real, they should still look clean and hit that sweet spot where form meets vibe.🔥

I’m obsessed with this Steve quote.🫡

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

A lot of folks miss this. Design isn’t just about making things look good; it’s about fixing real stuff. Sure, looks are part of the story—they set the tone and vibe—but they’re not the whole thing.

The big win? It’s finding a style that not only works now but sets you up to slay in what’s next. With the whole 3D, spatial world coming in hot, the question is: how do we tweak our style to ride this wave and grab all the new shots it brings?🌍

Connecting the Dots

If you really pay attention, you’ll notice Apple’s been making small but powerful changes across its UIs. Every platform has its strengths and weaknesses, but Apple’s been all about making sure everything clicks together seamlessly in their whole ecosystem.

With Vision Pro kicking things off, iOS is about to level up in some wild ways. This shift is setting the stage for where Apple’s heading next, and I’m here for it.

You might already spot the pattern, but let me break it down and show you how it all fits together. The future’s looking sharp. 👀

It’s all about being fully in it—feeling real, with every move in sync

Here’s the breakdown in three steps. With Spatial tech booming, we gotta switch things up. For years, we’ve been stuck on screens, all 2D, no depth. As designers, we didn’t have to think about space, physics, or layers. But now, with 3D tech, those things matter big time.

This new world opens up crazy options for UIs to level up and give us fresh, mind-blowing experiences. The future is wide open. 👾

Immersion

Here’s a wild thought: imagine a weather app. Before, you’d just stare at it on a flat screen. Now? You’re standing in the snow, feeling the flakes fall on your hands. Just picturing it? Gives me chills.

But yeah, we’re not there on iOS...yet. The key shift? Apps getting their own space—using the whole screen to go beyond the 2D box. It’s about making them feel more real, more immersive.

I took this concept and redesigned the settings page to show you how this new wave of design will change everything. It’s a whole new experience. Ready for it? 💥

Sense of physicality

Just like the world we live in, Vision OS has real physics—depth, shadows, reflections, all the feels. I bet this trend will flow into our 2D UIs too. That’s why we’re seeing Skeuomorphism make a comeback—it’s all about bringing that real-world vibe back.

A killer example? The Action button settings on the iPhone 15 Pro. It’s next level. 👀

The action button

A whole new sophisticated level of motions

Dynamic Island? Genius move. Apple flipped a hardware hurdle into a software flex—only Apple does that. And the animation? Pure smooth magic, with physics that just feel right.

Magic of dynamic island

We’ve been seeing this vibe in iOS 17—like that sick Shazam animation in Dynamic Island, AirDrop, and more. It's smooth, it’s slick, and it’s all about that next-level feel. ✨

Long story short...

Trends only become standards when they open up crazy new ways to solve stuff, feel real, and hit different.

We’re on the edge of a whole new era. Designers need to dive into 3D, think way outside the box, and play with motion. But at the end of the day, it’s all about solving problems.

What’s your take on Apple’s new vibe? 👀
