Hey, design fam! It’s Kushagra, back at it with the AtlasMoth “Journey: 1” edition! 🦋✨
Quick Q: Ever felt like your design process is like a moth chasing 100 different light bulbs? 😵💡 Let’s talk about why having a vision is the light at the end of the tunnel—trust me, you don’t want to be the confused moth banging into lamps!
So, I was at some rad designer meet-ups in Amsterdam—where the beer is as cold as the sea breeze, and the snacks are enough to make your taste buds do a happy dance! 🍻🥨 Picture this: designers huddled around tables, debating the best shade of blue while munching on some seriously addictive Dutch cheese puffs. One designer confidently proclaimed, “I could do this whole design process solo!” And we all just nodded, trying not to laugh while crunching our snacks.
But then I sneak a peek at their portfolio, and y’all, it looked like a visual game of Twister gone wrong. 🌈🤷♂️ That’s when it hit me: without a vision (and a solid team), you’re just winging it—like trying to balance a beer in one hand and a plate of snacks in the other! So remember, folks, collaboration is key—because even the best design ideas need a little teamwork, just like the perfect pairing of beer and snacks!

🦋 The Process Blues: Why Won’t They Listen? 🎶
So I had this chat with a UX leader who just wrapped up her first few months at a new job, and guess what? She laid out a slick UX process—only to find her team ghosting her like an ex on social media. 👻 She was like, “I put all this effort into this process, and now they’re acting like it’s a bad TikTok trend!”
When I asked her what she envisioned for the future, it was all process and no purpose. Can you imagine trying to get your squad to level up without showing them the final boss? 🎮✨

🦋 The ‘Why’ Behind the ‘What’ ❓
Alright, listen up: having a shiny new process is great, but if the team doesn’t see why it matters, you might as well be speaking Klingon. 🖖✨
Imagine this: You’re at a fork in the road. One path is easy-peasy lemon squeezy, and the other leads to the majestic lands of UX improvements. 🏞️ But wait! What’s at the end of the hard path? If they don’t see the treasure waiting for them, they’re gonna take the easy route every single time.

🦋 Crafting a Compelling UX Vision 🌟
Let’s chat about the legal software company that needed a UX glow-up. Their software was so complex that even their lawyer users were like, “I need a lawyer for this!” 🤦♂️📄
So, how do you get your stakeholders on board? By crafting a UX Vision that’s clearer than a morning after a rave! 🌅✨ Imagine showing them how easy it could be for paralegals to smash through their tasks, like a hot knife through butter. 🧈💨
Remember, folks, the UX Vision is a story that helps everyone understand the endgame. It’s not just about making things pretty; it’s about improving lives. When you share the vision first, the process will practically sell itself!
