Looking to elevate your brand with a custom hat?

Don’t make it just any hat. Make it a Branded Bills hat.

Why? They make quality merch (especially hats) that people actually want to wear.

Don’t just take it from us, here is what one of their recent clients has to say:

“I think Branded Bills is memorable because it is more of a lifestyle brand for us. It’s not just employees wearing them to work or technicians wearing them out in the field; they're wearing them to bowling alleys, sporting events, etc, and they’re repping our brand which is exactly what we want.” Rebecca Ferguson, Empire CAT

Ever Heard of Apple’s “Knowledge Navigator”? 🍏

Picture this: It’s 1990. Apple engineers are sweating over the Power book 100, a piece of tech that looked about as glamorous as your least favorite textbook. But this clunky device was backed by something enormous: a 23-year vision. Apple’s “Knowledge Navigator” video foresaw a world with digital personal assistants and tablet devices—before the Internet even took off. Flash forward to 2010, and the iPad made that vision reality.

So, here’s the big question… What’s Your “Knowledge Navigator”? 💡

2024’s UX landscape is wild. We’ve got AI driving user habits, Gen Z reshaping spending faster than TikTok trends, and no one’s got the patience for clunky designs. In a world where wearable tech predicts your every need, where shopping carts load themselves with ultra-personalized items, where your music player just knows it’s time for that hype playlist—it’s not just about the product anymore. It’s about crafting experiences that make people say, “Finally, someone gets it.”

So, here’s the secret ingredient to all this magic: a strong UX vision. It’s not just a guideline; it’s a roadmap that unites and energizes every person on your team.

How to Create a Vision That Transforms 🌟

Want your team to build a user experience so smooth it feels like witchcraft? Here’s how to start. Take inspiration from those brands making headlines and pushing limits with UX that’s innovative, approachable, and honestly, just fun.

  1. Set Your Flagpole High 🏳️: Choose a horizon that scares you a little—whether it’s 5 years, 10, or even 20. Don’t be shy about aiming high.

Example: Back in the day, Amazon wanted to be the world’s most customer-centric company. It started with books, sure, but that vision turned into 2-day shipping, same-day grocery delivery, Alexa, and more. Each milestone was a small step towards the big, impossible dream.

  2. Obsess Over Frustrations 😤: Identify the pain points that drive your users crazy. Whether it’s unnecessary clicks, lagging checkout screens, or boring interfaces, make it your goal to eliminate these frustrations. Imagine a world where your users’ most annoying problems are resolved before they’re even aware of them.

Example: Spotify noticed that music discovery was a chore for users. Enter: the Discover Weekly playlist. What used to be hours of searching became an addictive weekly ritual that users couldn’t resist.

  3. Get Ultra-Specific with Your Story 📜: Create a future scenario that everyone can rally around. Your team needs to see this vision as clearly as you do—make it a story they want to tell, a future they want to create. Paint every detail so vividly that everyone from the CEO to the newest intern knows what they’re working towards.

  4. Example: Look at Airbnb. When they were just starting, their story wasn’t about becoming a booking site. It was about “belonging anywhere.” Now, every user, from hosts to travelers, feels that connection—they’re part of a community, not just another transaction.

Your Vision in Action – From Dream to Product Reality 🔧

Once you’ve crafted your crystal-clear vision, it’s time to operationalize it. How? Break down your vision into phases, each one a tangible step closer to your ideal user experience. And keep it human—talk to your team and your users. What are they loving? What’s falling flat? The real magic happens in the feedback loops.

Pro-Tip: 💡 Instead of talking about “features” or “products,” talk about experiences. A product is just a tool; an experience is what people remember. Let everyone on your team see themselves in the future you’re building. You want your vision to be so contagious that even the person handling the backend feels like they’re crafting a magical user journey.
